1. What is web site hosting?
  We specialize in web site hosting, meaning that you can place your web site on our servers and establish a presence on the Internet. We can also register your own domain name for you. This will become your unique address on the World Wide Web (www.yourdomain.com). Top
   
2. How does it work?
  First, you must have your own domain name. You can registered you domain name by clicking here Registration costs $25.00/year. If you already own a domain and wish to have it hosted with Internet Hotline (IHOT), just update your domain to our name servers.   Top
   
3. Will I be able to access my domain name with or without the www?
  Yes, you will be able to access the domain name with or without the www in front. For example, you could access the domain name "yourdomain.com" by going to "www.yourdomain.com" as well as "yourdomain.com". Top
   
4. Will I have unlimited access to update my pages?
  You have unlimited access via FTP 24-hours a day. As such, you can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer and upload files to your web site at your convenience. Top
   
5 Do I have 24/7 access to my account?
  Absolutely. You can update your site at 3 am if that's best for you. Top
   
6. Is there a minimum time contract/commitment?
  Well yes there is. The minimum time commitment is 1 month. You can pay monthly, quarterly, or yearly. Top
   
7. How soon will my account be set up and ready for use?
  Once we have processed your credit card payment your account will be set up within 5-15 minutes. Your site can be uploaded to our servers immediately after receiving the welcome email, which will contain the IP address for your account, plus the password for the username chosen during sign-up. In fact, we recommend that clients start uploading their site as soon as possible after setup is complete, so that once domain transfer is completed, the site will be available for use by your visitors. Propagation is the process where DNS servers throughout the world update their records to point to your new hosting provider. Top
   
8. How soon will my account be set up if I don't pay by Credit Card?
  Once you submit your order we will begin processing your new account. Your order will be placed in a queue until payment has been received and then it will be setup by our staff. Once it has been setup you will receive an e-mail from us with your account details (login information, etc) so you may begin using your account which can take up to 24 hours after payment has been received.Top
   
9. Can you register a domain name for me? Can you set up domains other than .com, .org, and .net?
  We can register .com, .org, .net, .biz and .us names for $25.00/year, with you as the registrant. We can also assist with registering other domains, as well (fees for registering other domains will vary by country). Please contact our sales department if you require assistance in registering other domain types. Top
   
10 Do you offer a money back guarantee?
  Yes. If for any reason during the first 30 days as a Internet Hotline (IHOT) customer and you are not completely satisfied with any of our services, we will cancel your account and refund your money for that month's service. You will have to contact our support staff to have the refund processed. Top
   
11. I see some hosts offering "unlimited bandwidth". Why don't you offer this?
  Technically speaking, there is no such thing as "unlimited bandwidth". Someone has to pay for the traffic somewhere - and if you check the fine print of some service agreements from companies who claim to offer unlimited bandwidth, you'll probably find that they do charge for traffic over a certain amount. We dispense with the fine print. Top
   
12. Do you host warez sites or sites containing illegal material?
  No. We will not host any of this kind of illegal material. Any user found to upload any of these his/her account will be terminated with or without notice.Top
   
13. Is my site backed up and how often?
  Yes backups are done Hourly/daily/weekly/monthly on all servers. This is by no means the only backup you should rely on.  Always keep a full copy of your web site as a personal backup.  We offer a backup icon on your control panel and all user should take advantage of this feature as well.  Top
   
14. How Fast is your network connections?
  We use multiple bandwidth providers to ensure our servers are fast. Internet Hotline is connected by multiple Fiber links and multiple redundant T1 and T3 backup networks for superior speed. Top
   
15. Do you offer a web based control panel to manage my web site?
  Internet Hotline offer a complete Web Based Control Panel which is easy to use and highly functional, that you will have unlimited access to. You can setup e-mail accounts, databases, customize error pages and even more. Top
   
16. How reliable are your server
  We offer a 99% plus uptime guarantee on all hosting plans. Our servers are located in a data center in the San Francisco bay area of Northern California. They are monitored around the clock by security and trained personnel. Top
   
17. What are your server specifications?
  We are using different kind of servers. All of them are running Linux and Apache Web Server. They are all Intel based server with duel or Quad processors and at least 3GB of ECC memory., SCSI disk drive and dual Network Interfaces. top
   
18. Are there any hidden fees?
  There are absolutely no hidden fees attached to any of our hosting plans. All you pay is your monthly or yearly fee which you agree to when to sign up for our hosting services. We do offer additional service depending on your hosting plan. It is not a hidden fee, but if you go over your allowed traffic bandwidth for your hosting plan you could be charged for the additional bandwidth used. See our pricing pages for more information. 19. Transferring your Domain
  In order to transfer/move your domain name to Internet Hotline (IHOT) you need to contact your domain name registrar (the company you registered your domain name with) and update the "DNS" records for your domain to reflect our DNS servers.Top

  Once your domain name registrar sends a confirmation notice that your domain name records have been updated and that your domain has been transferred, it can take from 24 hours to 4 days before the domain name points to our network.
   
  Please Note: To prevent your site from experiencing downtime, it is recommended that you do not cancel your existing web hosting account for a period of 3-6 days after your domain registrar has updated your domain records. You can download your files and upload them to your new account as soon as your account is setup. Top

21 Is there a setup fee?
  Yes we do. We do this for a couple of reason. Some people just want to set up a web site for reason that may not be in the best interest of the internet community. Someone may want to send out lots of spam and needs a the set up for a very short time. We work hard to insure that the process is easy and happens quickly. Not that we want you to go somewhere else for hosting, if the only issue is the cost of the setup fee, then you should find another hosting company. Top
